I'm just not done being appalled by gymnastics. Which is worse, gymnastics or ice skating?? How is it possible that there was not ONE person who could have medaled in the damn vault who didn't land on HER KNEES or out of bounds?? Are you kidding me? This sport SUCKS. I think everyone should just go and in the end, the judges should decide who wins. Just first, second, third - no scoring. OR, maybe the crowd should decide - they couldn't do worse than the damn judges!!
The "I miss Bella Karolj" comment (I have no idea how to spell his name). Have you not seen him as a broadcaster? Did you not see that they showed his reaction to the gold medal performace by Nastia? It was rididculous...
Michael Phelps is amazing, even if he does have bad teeth.

i'm torn about michael phelps. he's NOT ugly.... except for the teeth/jaw area. there's something off about the curvature or something - maybe it's too narrow? i feel similarly about jennifer garner, also, but that's a whole other subject.
if he would just keep his mouth closed, he might be kind of attractive. i kind of just want to poke him in a few different places to see what someone who works out 10 hours a day feels like - do they FEEL different? Like, is there any give to his skin?
i have not watched any olympics for the past few days and am devastated. but the paper this morning did a little photo essay of closeups of michael phelps each time he's been on the podium an each one i was overwhelmed by the TEETH! TEETH! TEETH! TEETH! TEETH! TEETH! TEETH! TEETH! (that's 8 times)
I still can't agree with your hating of the gymnastics, and I'm even starting to like the men's - the amazing feats of stregth blow me away. And at least they can stick the landing coming off of the rings. I know I've been watching too much olympics when the beach volleyball doesn't seem so terrible anymore.
And I take back the Bella comment - he's everywhere. Almost too much....
OK, I realize I'm a little late in the game, and nobody will probably read this- but I LOVE Bella- he was a breath of rude, opinionated, out-of-line-but-so-accurate fresh air during the whole gymnastics debacle. I've always been a fan, but his incessant rants about how the Chinese girls are BLATENTLY underage, as evidenced by the baby teeth and falsified papers, won me over once again. Why isn't anyone else pissed about this besides me and Bella? And, I love Marta by association. My only other Olympics comment is that I decided that I despise Beach volleyball, and particularly Misty Mays-Whatever (how could i like anyone named Misty? and I'm SO not a fan of the hyphen) and the other one who's a butter face. They are SO annoying- i never thought i would want the US to lose gold- and, more recently relevant, Misty looks like SHIT on dancing with the stars.
