I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack

I love starting my entries that way!! There are SO many things to discuss. First of all, who came up with the absurd idea of lifting newleyweds up in a chair on the slippery dance floor during Jewish weddings? Not that I don't LOVE it or LOVE being a newleywed but still, it's a bit ridiculous!!

And I have another issue - why do they make any Starburst besides the pink? Everyone likes the pink best. And while a few people like the yellow (including myself) and I think some people inexplicably like the orange, everybody agrees that the red tastes like soap. And while we're talking about red, we may as well ask - why do they make Swedish fish of any other color? Why is it so easy to find the PEACH Diet Snapple (which everyone likes the least) but really hard to find the raspberry or pomegranate? I think licorice really got it right - either red or black. I know black licorice has a cult following and people like the red AND, you can buy them separately. Can you imagine how Starburst sales would improve if the just separated the flavors??

That's all for now.... I loved my wedding and I love my wife!!!

Am I weird because I like the red Starburst a little bit?
I'd like it to be noted if it hasn't already, that of all the spouses in attendance, TONY stepped up, nay raced up, to hold the chair during the chair dance. I believe it was J's, but I'll have to check the pictures for confimation. With enthusiasm and dare I say a little regret that I expressly forbade the chair dance at our wedding. Also, why was no one doing the cirle around part of the horah? That's my favorite part and although I tried to start the circle part several times, everyone in attendance insisted on either violent clapping, or doing the hands up in the center move.
Despite the horah debacle, it was a super fun wedding!!

What's a horah and what's it all about?
Perhaps people were tired of dancing in a circle since I had already inappropriately and uninvitedly forced a select few to hold hands and sway (in a circle) to "unchained melody"? Just a thought.
Moving on to the subject of candy, there was a period some years back during which I saw a lot of other colored/flavored licorice besides red and black: I've seen purple/grape, green/sour apple, brown/chocolate (yuck) AND red injected with pink and green paste/I think cherry filled with watermelon? (yuckyuck). I avoided them at the time and haven't seen them recently, thank god. But I have noticed a newer disturbing trend - why does every kid's food these days have to be technicolor, or, in certain instances, color CHANGING? Mostly it's candy, but pepperidge farm has crossed the line and now has goldfish that turn color while you're eating them. Repulsive.
Welcome back, and give your wife a hug for me!

Welcome baaaaaaaaack! Loved the wedding and LOVE you and your wife. My favorite Starburst is the red, followed by the yellow, then orange, and pink last. I was thinking maybe you would disown me, but on second thought we should probably remain friends and buy lots of Starbursts to share! Please tell me the banana runt is your least favorite....

I personally LOVE the banana ones, so maybe xinaeve and I can share runts!
